5"/63cm Gans & Seyfarth Bisque Doll, [2]1908-1922
From an early 20th century German Doll Maker, impressed " G&S 6 Germany " open mouth, four teeth, weighted brown glass eyes with excellent wax and eyelashes.
Newish blond wig that enhances a perfectly adorable face on a fully-jointed composition body in lovely condition with minimal paint wear to fingers and toes.
Her head is not perfect however with a faint hairline to the top edge of her left side [not visible under the wig]. She has a sweet and serious expression and dimpled chin.
In keeping with her serious and intellectual mien she carries a miniature antique mandolin of tortoiseshell and mother of pearl [a collector's piece in it's own right] all ready to entrance any audience with her melody and her beauty.
Newish garments consisting of white taffeta underskirt with a stunning deep maroon dress heavily embellished with gold lace her panties are a match. She wears a pretty little brooch of a kitten and ball at the neck, socks and paten shoes.
